I enjoy photographing dancers and I’ve been quite fortunate to take dance photography workshops with Lois Greenfield. Imagine my glee, when I discovered WSJ Magazine paired Joan Smalls and Lil Buck in a glamorous dance inspired fashion editorial.
Yo Yo Ma and Lil Buck perform Camille Saint-Saens’ The Swan at The National Center for Performing Arts in Beijing, China in 2011. Born Charles Riley, Lil Buck was raised in Memphis and practices Jookin; a street dance that combines the illusion of floating gracefully in slow motion, fluid footwork, and gansta walking.
